Interestinly enough, SpeedFan also only allowed the fan to spin at a minimum of around 3321 RPM. The fan speeds are controlled by the thermal profile in the BIOS, so its unlikely the behavior you report is driver-related. Closing/reopening HWiNFO never does resolve it. I have a Ryon Biostar X370GTN and the CPU fanspeed sometimes doesnt show up. However, if i were to click Set Manual or Custom Auto The HWiNFO only allows the fan to spin at a minimum of 3321 RPM+. I wanted to get a preliminary post up here on this issue. There interesting discovery, After installing HWiNFO64, when i go into 'Fan Control' and i Click System Auto The fan will start spinning at a very low RPM (about 2400). I feel like the CPU fan should be constantly spinning, but at a very low RPM, idk if i'm crazy or if it actually used to do this, but it doesnt anymore. So the CPU fan is either not spinning whatsoever or it is spinning at 3321 RPM+ (it only kicks on at start up, and will stop once windows being booting) it will only kick on when they system gets fairly warm, too warm for my liking. For some reason i feel like the fan has not been cooling the system properly. Adding the 'OpenFanCtrlMin1' option at the end of HWiNFO64.INI will also start fan control after (automatic) launch. You can also setup HWiNFO for Auto-start with automatic starting of sensor monitoring.
I have a Dell Inspiron 15r (N5110) Laptop. HWiNFO will remember the fan control settings once saved, so there's no need to define them each time.
